A quiet February, creative progress, and a new adventure ahead

Hello everyone,

Like my new email template? I hope you enjoy this refreshed space where I can share updates, reflections, and stories with you.

February has been a quieter month for me — a time of reflection, gentle creativity, and tending to stories as they continue to grow in their own time.

I’ve been keeping a lower profile lately, allowing space to reconnect with my writing and creative direction. Behind the scenes, I’ve been spending some time working on my upcoming Assert-Teen book. This project is especially meaningful to me, and I’m approaching it thoughtfully — giving the input from beta readers and ideas time to deepen and take shape in the way they are meant to.

I’m also excited to share that the artwork for my newest children’s book, Dani’s Adventure in Laundry Land, is now finalized. Seeing the story come to life through illustration is always such a special moment — when imagination begins to take visual form.

About Dani’s Adventure in Laundry Land

Dani is searching for her favourite sweater and climbs into the laundry pile to find it. But what begins as a simple search quickly becomes an unexpected adventure.

As Dani moves deeper into the pile, she discovers an entirely new world full of twisted tunnels made of clothes. She travels over, under, through, and around soft tunnels of fabric, learning to navigate this curious landscape one step at a time.

This playful and imaginative story introduces children to directional language in a fun, meaningful way, while also celebrating curiosity, courage, and the magic of unexpected discovery.

I’m looking forward to sharing more about this book as it continues to move toward publication.

For now, I’m honouring this quieter season — trusting the creative process, and allowing each story to unfold when it’s ready.

Thank you, as always, for being here and supporting my journey.

xo,

Dani's Adventure In Laundry Land- Illustration Sneak Peak- Illustrated by Danielle Adams Hello everyone, March has brought with it a quiet kind of reflection for me, the kind that gently asks you to pause and really see where you are, and perhaps even more importantly… how you see yourself. Recently, I was nominated for the Poet Laureate position in St. Albert. Even writing those words feels a little surreal. It’s such an honour — and also a moment that made me stop and reflect.
